This honey bun recipe is very popular right now. They are easy to prepare and delicious to eat. What could be better? In addition, they are great for first experiments with yeast dough!

We will need:

  1. 1 packet of yeast
  2. 1 glass of warm milk (40-45 degrees) or water
  3. 1/4 cup honey (+ 1 more tablespoon for coating)
  4. 1.5 teaspoons salt
  5. 1 egg
  6. 4 cups sifted flour
  7. vegetable oil
  8. 1 tablespoon softened butter

Recipe:

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water or milk (you can mix it in half and half). Pour the mixture into a large bowl, where we will knead the dough. Add 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, salt and egg. Beat the resulting mixture thoroughly with a mixer. Add 3 cups of flour and beat again until the dough turns into a homogeneous sticky mass. Add the fourth glass of flour gradually, each time mixing the dough again with a mixer at low speed. We see how much flour the dough takes and try not to add too much. At some point, our mixer will no longer cope with the dough. Therefore, the dough should be placed on a lightly floured table. We will knead it until it becomes homogeneous and stops sticking to our hands.
  2. Lightly oil a clean bowl. Form the dough into a ball and place it in the prepared bowl. Wrap the bowl tightly in cling film. The dough should be placed in a warm place. It would be nice to wrap him in an extra towel. The dough will rise for about 2 hours, during which time it should double in volume.
  3. So, the dough has risen. Place it on a lightly floured table and knead it very briefly, about 30 seconds, no more. Then cover with a towel and leave for another 10 minutes.
  4. Now divide the piece of dough into 12-14 equal parts. Grease a baking sheet or large frying pan with vegetable oil. Form each piece of dough into a ball and place on the prepared surface. There is no need to put it close, because... The dough will rise in the oven and the buns will stick together. I try to lay it out so that I can put another ball of dough in between.
  5. Cover our buns with a towel again and put them in a warm place for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the pan with the buns in the oven.
  6. Mix softened butter and 1 tablespoon of honey. 5 minutes after the start of baking, take out the buns and grease them with the prepared mixture. Place the pan back into the oven for about 10-15 minutes. The buns should be browned.
  7. Serve warm.

Bon appetit!

Prepare the dough: Mix flour, yeast, sugar, 110 ml of a mixture of warm milk and kefir (in equal quantities), cover and leave for 15 minutes in a warm place. When bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the dough, it means it is ready. Then mix the remaining mixture of warm milk and kefir with honey. Make a well in the flour, add the appropriate dough, eggs, a mixture of warm milk and kefir with honey, softened butter and sunflower oil. Mix the dough.

Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 1 hour in a warm place (you can put it on the top shelf in a switched off oven, and put a pan of hot water on the bottom shelf), knead it and leave it for another 30 minutes.

Then divide the dough into 3 parts. The dough is very soft and elastic. Lightly dust the table with flour; you don’t need a lot of flour, just so that the dough doesn’t stick to the table.

Roll out one piece of dough into a circle. We divide it into 8 sectors.

wrap the dough. On the remaining edge we make 3 cuts.

Leave for 20-30 minutes to approach in a warm place.

Mix the yolk with 1 tablespoon of milk and mix well. Grease the surface of the buns. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown (20 minutes).

You can make quick apple jam: peel 6 medium apples, cut into cubes; Pour 100 ml of water into the pan, add apples, boil for 5-10 minutes until the water boils. Puree with a blender.
Add sugar to taste (100 grams), simmer for 5-10 minutes until thickened and sugar dissolved.

These are such wonderful buns we made!!!

I hope you enjoy and are pleasantly surprised by the recipe for these airy buns!!!

  • Add a spoonful of sugar, dry yeast and two spoons of flour from the total amount of flour according to the recipe to warm (35-40 C) water. Stir, cover and leave for 15 minutes to activate the yeast. A characteristic foam should appear.
  • Add the remaining sugar (3 tbsp), salt, vanilla sugar, vegetable oil, egg and warm milk or kefir (in my case it’s kefir). Mix everything well.
  • Sift half the flour into it and knead the sticky dough.
  • Add lightly melted butter and mix it into the dough with your hands.
  • Add the rest of the flour and knead an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.
  • Place the dough in a bowl, lightly grease it with vegetable oil, tear it up and leave in a warm place for one and a half to two hours. The dough should increase in volume well.
  • Divide the dough into 12 equal balls. Roll each ball into a flatbread, grease with vegetable or butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (optional), roll the flatbread into a roll, fold it in half and make a cut with a knife at the fold, but not all the way, unfold the cut parts with the cut side up. It turns out to be a bun.
  • Place the buns on a baking sheet at a large distance from each other, cover them and leave for 15-20 minutes to proof.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Be guided by your oven.
  • While the buns are still very hot, generously grease them with liquid honey. If the honey is thick, warm it up a little in the microwave.
Thanks to honey, the buns turn out simply fabulous and also sparkle very beautifully. Try it, it's very tasty!

Dough for buns:

  • Water – 120 ml (35-40 Ć)
  • Milk (or kefir) – 120 ml (35-40 Ć)
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp. l. (1 for dough + 3 for dough)
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g
  • Dry yeast – 1.5 tsp.
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
  • Butter – 60 g
  • Eggs – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 500 g (± 30 g)
Additionally:
Butter or vegetable oil + sugar + cinnamon = filling
Honey for soaking finished buns – approximately 150-200 g

Pour warm milk into the bread machine bucket, add softened butter and egg, mix lightly.

Set the "Dough" mode (for me - 1 hour 30 minutes). You can also knead the dough by hand: sift the flour and make a well. Pour yeast and vanillin into the well. Melt honey and combine with milk, softened butter, add egg and salt, mix well. Gradually pour this mixture into the well in the flour, kneading the dough. The dough should not be tight, a little sticky. Leave the dough in a warm place for 1 hour to rise. And this is what the dough looks like after kneading in the bread machine.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment and grease with vegetable oil. Form the dough into round buns and place them on parchment paper. I got 14 buns. To grease the buns, melt honey and mix with butter, stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Grease all buns with this mixture.

To top the buns, grind the peanuts in a coffee grinder or simply chop them with a knife.

Sprinkle the greased buns with chopped peanuts.

Bake honey buns in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 25-35 minutes until lightly browned.

Allow the unusually tasty, aromatic honey buns to cool and serve them with milk or tea. It is very tasty to eat these buns with jam or butter. I cut the buns horizontally in half, not all the way through, and spread them with butter or jam.
